Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and the second leading cause of lung cancer for the general population. The Surgeon General and EPA recommend testing for radon and reducing radon in homes that have high levels. Fix your home if your radon level is confirmed to be 4 picocuries per liter, pCi/L, or higher. Radon levels less than 4 picocuries (pCi/L) pose a risk, and the EPA still suggest home owners to consider fixing homes with radon levels from 2-4 pCi/L.

If you smoke and your home has a radon level of 4 pCi/L, the risk of lung cancer is 7-8 times higher, up to 62 out of 1000 lung cancer cases.

Selecting a qualified radon mitigation contractor to fix your home is important. Radon Be Gone is nationally certified through AARST (American Association of Radon Scientists) and NRPP (National Radon Proficiency Program). Radon Be Gone mitigators are certified and qualified. We have done over 8,500 homes and businesses and have one of the best warranties in the industry.
